Just out of shot to the right are the mountains on the eastern border of Yosemite, where we'd originally planned to camp before the snow closed the road for the winter.
Mount Whitney, at 15,000 ft the highest mountain in US outside Alaska. Within 100 miles is the lowest point, in Death Valley, 300ft below sea level.
Awesome local beek jerky...our diet for the next couple of days! Craig bought Elk, which was the best.
